Meet Carol

Actively investing in real estate since 1980, running a small business, and 28 years of research and clinical work in the medical field have given me an excellent and varied platform on which to build my real estate career. I have resided in Yuba City since 1989. During this tenure I have made myself very familiar with the surrounding areas.

I am pleased to be associated with the largest and most reputable real estate firm in the area. Century 21 Select Real Estate, Inc. is well established with over nine offices located throughout the Sacramento Valley and Yuba County Foothills. Along with my affiliation with Sacramento Valley Relocation Alliance, I am able to provide a full range of services including referral and world wide relocation assistance. Since 2001, I have been an associate of this fine company. I service Yuba and Sutter Counties and part of Butte County.

In the current very active market, many listings are sold before they ever reach the public eye. Because of the many Realtors® within our Company, listings are often sold before their existence is made public. This market has brought Realtors® lists of willing and able Buyers in various price ranges. It is always a pleasure to find just the right home for my customers.

I have chosen to become involved in real estate sales because I have a mental model of sales as being a service to my clients. I make every effort to earn their trust and confidence. I engage only a limited number of listings and buyers so that I may provide personal, unhurried service. It is very rewarding to me to see opportunities for home ownership open for as many people as possible, in all price ranges. I appreciate the opportunity to help anyone of any economic ability to find just the right home.

The outdoors has always had a great appeal for me. So, scouting out the perfect parcel of land in the more remote areas is also a particularly joyful adventure. Riding and training horses has been a favorite pastime since my childhood, so I find particular joy in locating and selling properties to and for equestrians. It is a pleasure to spend the time necessary to prepare and present each property and represent each client in the best way possible.

 

Photovoltaics, turbines-all forms of alternative energy have been a long time interest, as well. Off-the-grid living is not totally unheard of in the Foothills of Yuba County. I am currently increasing my education in this field of alternative energy with the hope of encouraging wiser development choices in the Yuba-Sutter area. I would particularly hope at some point in my career to participate in the building of an energy independent model home or Community.


My negotiating style is win-win. I have discovered that this carries positive results in future sales or purchases, and in life in general. When both Buyers and Sellers are treated fairly and equitably in the one transaction, the new Owners adopt this same win-win attitude when they decide to sell. It is a mutually beneficial and self-perpetuating philosophy and way of doing business.

Designations:

The ‘GRI’ designation represents one of the best known and most respected, designations a REALTOR can earn. It is awarded by the California Association of REALTORS Graduate REALTOR Institute and has earned national recognition.

To earn the GRI designation, the GRI candidate must complete an intensive 14 course series of live lecture courses designed to improve marketing and negotiating skills, learn the latest in technology, provide an understanding of the new disclosures and legal aspects of real estate, and become familiar with the latest trends in financing; all designed to assist the graduate of this program to provide the best service to the consumer.

The Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) is the highest Designation awarded to sales associates in the residential sales field. The CRS Designation recognizes professional accomplishments in both experience and education. A Certified Residential Specialist is a REALTOR who has earned certification from the Council of Residential Specialists by completing a rigorous course of advanced training, and by meeting significant experience requirements. Just 4% of all REALTORS in the U.S. can call themselves Certified Residential Specialist. That’s because just one in 25 has the experience, the commitment and the hours of advanced training necessary to claim this title.

An e-PRO is a Realtor who has successfully completed the e-PRO training program for real estate professionals. Endorsed by the National Association of Realtors, the e-PRO course teaches professionals the nuts and bolts of working with real estate on-line: Web sites, e-mail, and on-line tools.

An Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) is specifically trained to support the efforts of the home Buyer. From the initial selection of properties, all the way through contract negotiations and settlement, Buyers can now have an agent specifically committed to educating them about the process, and representing their best interests in purchasing real estate. A true Buyer’s Agent, representing (or listing) the Home Buyer, can be of enormous advantage. Buyer’s Agents will show all homes whether listed in the Multiple Listing Service or not.
